Jean Louise is dedicated to artistic excellence in all her musical performances. She offers live performances for weddings and other events in the Chattanooga and Nashville areas. Now accepting bookings for Fall and Winter 2025 performances and weddings. Additionally, she has several spots available for beginner piano lessons.
About Me:
Jean Louise's main influences are rock and roll, jazz, and bluegrass-country.Jean Louise has been playing piano for fifteen years, growing up in a musical household. There was never a time when she wasn't playing piano and singing with her family. She first started taking lessons at age 7, and was classically trained until age 17. On her own, she atrted discovering and transcribing the piano solos of Chuck Leavell in the Allman Brothers band, and fell in love with rock piano. She continued studying commercial piano in college, taking jazz piano lessons and participating in the jazz ensemble. She has a degree in music composition from Covenant College, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2025 (along with a double major in English Literature). She has studied classical, jazz, rock, and commercial style music with quality piano teachers and professors, including those in the Nashville area and in the Chattanooga area.Her influences include: Chuck Leavell, Bill Evans, Page McConnell, Cory Henry, Bruce Hornsby, James Ward, Andrew Peterson, and other musicians from the jazz & rock scene.
